I have always wondered why Turkish Muslims are so pro-Pakistani while Egyptian and Palestinian Muslims are not. The major reason for this confusion in the minds of the Arabs was germinated during the time of Gamal Abdul Nasser. The Nasir-Nehru-Titu nexus was the harbinger of the flag-bearers of socialism. Nasser wanted to lead he Arab world and the third world. Pakistan at the time was part of the rival Baghdad pact that later grew into SEATO and CENTO.

The main reason for lack Egyptian fidelity towards Pakistan is lack of historical knowledge about Pakistan. Egyptian children grow up on the Nehru Gandhi candy and never have understood the raison d’etre of Pakistan. Arab curriculums therefore reflect the thinking that “Pakistan is a reactionary state” and does not touch upon the generations old brotherhood that exists. This is what the students learn and this is what the Egyptians think. This is then reflected in Egyptian foreign policy. Grass-root changes in Egyptian and Palestinian thinking towards Pakistan can only take place if the government of Pakistan creates Pakistan Cultural Centers in Cairo and Gaza , but also in Riyadh, Tripoli, and in Dubai. Bad Egyptian curriculums create bad Egyptians
