Former president Pervez Musharraf has said that government has failed completely, adding, Pakistan is moving fastly towards destabilization.
“I am seriously thinking about taking part in next general elections and will come into power soon”, he said this during an interview with US radio here on Friday. He stressed on the need of dialogue to resolve the Afghanistan issue politically, which could bring peace and stability to the region, adding, Pakhtoon could be separated from Taliban through dialogue and deal, while he supported talks with some elements of Taliban.
“Pakhtoon forms 50 percent population of Afghanistan, which could not be ignored”, he pointed out, adding, deal with them is must to defeat Taliban.
Regarding US plan sending more troops to Afghanistan, Musharraf said it is very difficult stage for Obama and its results and effects should be considered, because US and NATO forces have dishearten in Afghanistan.
Supporting the political solution of Afghanistan issue, he stressed on the formation of political government, which could be acceptable to all and with good image and military aid.
Referring to Pakistan, the former military dictator said deal should be struck with Taliban through Pakhtoon and similarly they could be separated and stressed on deal and talks again and again.
He criticized the government and said it has been failed in maintaining law and order situation and economy is poor and the country is moving fastly towards destabilization.
About his political future, Musharraf said he is thinking seriously about taking part in general elections and his political career would start very soon and would come into power.
