Sino-Pak nuclear deal
Blog Monday, August 30th, 2010The US is striving to become world’s lone super power by hook or by crook. The Soviet Union is no more there. However, the US faces strong challenge from the Peoples Republic of China whose economic growth, despite very huge population, has just overcome Japan. The US in collusion with its “natural ally” is indulging in all negative and hostile tactics to keep things moving in its direction.
But towards the so-called old friend and major non-NATO ally Pakistan, the US is hell bent upon to get the recent energy deal cancelled between China and Pakistan for sale of two nuclear reactors by Beijing to energy-starved Pakistan. One just cannot understand as to why the US is so much opposed to the Sino-Pakistan deal which is entirely for peaceful purposes of generating more power through nuclear technology. Both China and Pakistan have already dismissed the US concerns and objections as baseless and unfounded and stated categorically at the appropriate level respectively that the deal between the two countries in no way violates any international law as such.
Despite the ground realities favouring Sino-Pakistan nuclear reactors accord, the persistent opposition being resorted to by the US is only exposing the evil intentions and objectives of Washington which need not be elaborated as these are already well-known to people the world over in general and in Pakistan in particular.
The criticism against Sino-Pakistan nuclear deal is unjustified, baseless and unfounded and must be stopped forthwith. Beijing and Islamabad being on the right track should proceed ahead with the implementation of the nuclear deal in the right earnest as it is entirely for peaceful purposes.
