Renowned Chinese TusPark ready to develop science parks in Pakistan
Local Friday, December 25th, 2009Supported with over 30,000 strong IT-Wizards the renowned Tsinghua University Science Park (TusPark) is ready for cooperation for the development of science parks in Pakistan. “Many delegations from Pakistan visited here. Yes, I know that you are developing a Technology Park in your country. As Pakistan is our best friend, we are ready to cooperate in this area which has immense potential in future as well”, Herbert Chen, the Deputy Director and Senior Vice-President of TusPark told in an interview.
Herbert pointed out that Science Park is very strong engine for the recovery of economy, because research, technology, knowledge, innovation and designing of new products in Science Parks greatly help to overcome challenges the falling economy faces.
The TusPark that has celebrated the 15th anniversary of its founding this month, has earned many achievements, said Herbert Chen while enumerating the development and progress achieved in the realm of Information Technology.
“To start with, we have raised such a huge and sprawling IT complex within a span of five years, which I am sure no country in the world, even United State can do”, said a jubilant Herbert who is also the Director of Beijing Office, International Association of the Science Parks (IASP).
We have in China 69 University Science Parks, but this is the largest one with all state of the art facilities available in twenty blocks in one complex spreading over areas of 700,000 square meters, he noted.
It is the only A-level university science park in China and has done many pioneering work and made brilliant achievements in scientific innovation and incubator for Research and Development.
Recently the TusPark has developed 3-G technology and the tinny memory it innovated has completely changed the concept of mobile phone users.
The TusPark contributes greatly in promoting Chinese industries from “Made in China” to “Create in China”.
It is the world largest university science park composed of nearly 1000 enterprises including many world Top 500 companies including IT behemoths like Microsoft and Google, a proud Herbert said.
