PPP imposing governor rule in Punjab
Blog Thursday, February 26th, 2009When Perviaz Mushraff imposed emergency on 3 Nov 2007 he was severely criticised by all the democratic forces .,The reaction of ppp was more prickly to Mushraff action and Benazir Shaheed was far vocal critic and forefront opponent of Mushraff action.
Of course all the opposition political parties and democratic forces were against Mushraff action still his allied parties and groups ( PML(Q) MQM and Sherpao group) attempted to defend it though in much self-effacingly The recent act of PPP by imposing governor rule in Punjab has put the party in greater awkward position.
None of ppp ally( ANP ,MWM .And JUI etc ) has not only not defended but its leaders have condemned it. Even the defense of that step by ppp leaders have put them in very uncomfortable satiation as their arguments in defense of it on different TV channels sound so trifling and shallow .This undemocratic act is a challenge to ppp sympathizers .Any defense on the part of such ppp eaders and workers who consider themselves even as modest democrats and claim to have some principles , would ,at least never defend and support it ,if though they could not dare condemn the step publicly due to part discipline ,
