PML-N workers thrash media men

A group of workers of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz manhandled journalists at Aiwan-e-Iqbal in a conference on “Defence Democratic Day” organized by PML-N and stopped them from coverage.

According to a private TV channel, the incident happened when policemen in plain clothes and workers of PML-N stopped media men from entering in the hall.

Workers of PML-N including Amjad and other workers tortured 3 cameramen and tore clothes of a senior journalist.

The media men after assurance by member National Assembly, Hamza Sharif ended their strike. Leaders of PML-N included Khawaja Saad Rafique, Zulfiqar Khosa and former President Rafiq Tarar expressed their ignorance about the incident.

Meanwhile, spokesperson of Punjab Government, Pervaiz Rashid while talking to a private TV channel strongly condemned the incident and apologized on behalf of the PML-N. Pervaiz Rashid denied the involvement of workers of PML-N in the incident and urged that after the apology, the issue should be ended.

  1. Shafif brothers are only sharif in name . The a operate a Mia type of organisation . The preach freedom of speach but cannot take critism . Musharaf s .hould have hanged them in 1999
