Pir Pagara see’s Asif Ali Zardari as faulty

The PML(F) Chief, and spiritual leader of Hurs, Pir Sahib Pagara has observed that Prime Minister, Yousaf Raza Gilani should not be blamed for deteriorating conditions in the country, as ” the fault lies at the end of PPP chairperson, Asif Zardari”.

Talking to newsmen after meeting with former federal minister, and chief of Awami Muslim League, Shaikh Rasheed Ahmed at Kingri House here on Tuesday, Pir Pagara said that Prime Minister Gilani was his “relative”, and he was not responsible for the current circumstances.

” Zardari is responsible for the current situation because on the one hand he says he has made Gilani prime minister, while on the other hand he has continuously been interfering in his (Gilani) matters”, he said.

Pagara claimed that the PPP government would soon be dismissed, and the actual PPP, which according to him was PPP (Parliamentarians), would come into power, whose head was Makhdoom Amin Fahim.

” There is only one solution of all these problems that the PPP government be dismissed, and Amin Fahim be preferred (for the post of prime minister)”, he maintained.

” Thieves have become the gatekeepers. How can you run the country in this situation”, he said and added ” The people of Sindh have recognized Zardari, that is why he is not facing them”.

Pagara said he had given a three-month deadline to the government, and now it is being run on a “bonus”.

To a question, he said he foresaw President Pervez Musharraf as president of the Muslim League. ” Now, it depends upon him (Musharraf) which Muslim League he would choose”.

He observed that reinstatement of the deposed judges was impossible, and the Chief Justice Iftikhar Chaudry would have to stay at home.

” he (Justice Chaudry) is very lucky that he is moving freely, but the people have learnt the lesson from May 12 (2007)”, he said referring to bloodshed on May 12, 2007 in Karachi on the arrival of deposed Chief Justice to address the lawyers community.

To another question about Kalabagh dam, he said he had already told that if Kalabagh dam could be built then build it, but it needed a huge amount, which was not available, therefore this project had been abandoned.

About Shaikh Rasheed, he said he sees a bright future for Shaikh Rasheed. The people Sindh should stand alongside him, he added.

He charged that the PPP government and the Indian establishment wanted to wipe out the ISI, because it had caused serious damage to the enemy.
