Pakistan to take part in Azlan Shah Hockey Cup
Sports Thursday, February 7th, 2008 Pakistan will take part in the 17th Azlan Shah Cup Invitational Tournament at Ipoh, Malaysia, from May 3 to 11, PHF Spokesman Altaf Sabir said on Thursday.
Other
than Pakistan, hosts Malaysia, Olympic Champion Australia, Asian
Champions South Korea, Belgium, China, India and New Zealand will
participate in the tournament.
Though
leading teams of the world like Australia, Germany, Holland, Spain etc.
will be absent from the tournament, Pakistan will get to play against
teams like South Korea and India, which will be a good warm up for the
Beijing Olympics 2008, starting on August 8.
