Pakistan to continue support for just cause of Kashmiris

Prime Minister Syed Yousuf Raza
Gilani on Monday said the resolution of Kashmir issue in accordance
with the wishes of the people of Kashmir could ensure lasting peace in
the region and bring about the much needed progress and prosperity for
the people.

Pakistan
would continue to extend moral, social, political and diplomatic
support to the Kashmiri brethren for their just cause of self
determination, he added.

The
Prime Minister was talking to President of Azad Jammu and Kashmir
(AJK), Raja Zulqurnain Khan, who called on him here at the PM House
this afternoon.

The
Prime Minister said that Quaid-i-Awam Shaheed Zulfiqar Ali Bhutto and
Shaheed Mohatrma Benazir Bhutto had raised the issue of Kashmir at
every forum.   He said that Pakistan believes in the peaceful
resolution of Kashmir issue through dialogue and expressed confidence
that India would also reciprocate positively in this regard.

The
Prime Minister also assured that the government of Pakistan would
extend all possible support for the rehabilitation of the earthquake
affectees besides infrastructural development of the area.

The
President of AJK briefed the Prime Minister about the sentiments of the
people of Kashmir for the support that Pakistan has been extending to
the just cause of Kashmiri people.

He also apprised him of the ongoing activities regarding the rehabilitation and reconstruction efforts.
