Pakistan observes 133rd birth anniversary of Quaid-e-Azam in Befitting Manner Today
Local Friday, December 25th, 2009The 133rd birth anniversary of the Founder of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah is being celebrated across the country including Azad Kashmir today, Friday in a befitting manner.
The government has declared a public holiday on this very occasion. National flag would hoist atop all government buildings in connection with the birth celebrations of the founder of Pakistan.
The day will dawn with special prayers for the progress and prosperity of Pakistan and its people.
A smartly turned out contingent of the Cadets from Pakistan Military Academy, Kakul will mount the guard at the Mazar of Quaid-e-Azam on the occasion of Quaid birth anniversary. Lady Cadets are also included in the contingent.
It may be mentioned here that the First Battalion of PMA Kakul was bestowed with Quaid-e-Azam patronage as Colonel-in-Chief.
The representatives of the three services will also visit the mausoleum to offer Fateha and lay floral wreath. People from various walks of life will also visit the Mazar to pay homage to the Father of the Nation.
Political and social organizations have also chalked out programmes to celebrate the birth anniversary of the Father of the Nation.
Declamation contests will be arranged in various districts and tehsils in which speakers will highlight the struggle and tireless efforts of the Quaid that led to the creation of a separate homeland for the Muslims of the Subcontinent.
The newspapers would also bring out special supplements while public and private broadcasting channels broadcast/telecast special programmes on the life and struggle of Father of the Nation.
The National Museum of Pakistan, Karachi plans to organize a special exhibition to mark the birth anniversary of Quaid-i-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah.
The relics, historical documents, portraits and photographs of the Quaid will be put on display illustrating various political activities of the great hero.
Likewise. different educational, social, cultural and political organizations will organize various functions, seminars and declamation contests in all districts and tehsil headquarters of the province in which speakers will pay tribute to the leaders of Muslims of the sub-continent whose tireless efforts led to the creation of separate homeland – Pakistan – as an independent Muslim country.
The birth anniversary of Father of the Nation, Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah will also be celebrated across Azad Jammu and Kashmir. Special ceremonies to celebrate the birthday of Quaid-e-Azam in all the eight districts and tehsil headquarters of Azad Jammu and Kashmir, and the state metropolis Muzaffarabad will be the hallmark of the day.
