Pakistan beat Bangladesh to complete 11th win in a row
Sports Saturday, April 19th, 2008Pakistan made the clean-sweep in five
match one-day series when they beat Bangladesh by 150 runs in the final
Day/Night International at National Stadium here on Saturday.
Bangladesh was bowled out for 179 all out in 40.5 overs in reply to Pakistan total of 329-9 in 50 overs.
This was Pakistan’s 11th win in a row which created a new record after Pakistan recorded ten straight victories under Imran Khan in 1990.
Salman
Butt made 136 and Muhammad Asif snapped-up three wickets for 35 in
eight overs while Shahid Afridi claimed three wickets for forty runs.
President Pervez Musharraf, who was the chief guest was introduced to the teams and shook hands with them.
Sindh
Governor Dr. Ishrat- ul- Ebad, Chairman, PCB Dr. Nasim Ashraf and other
officials were present at the ceremony.
