NetSol and Pakistan Software Export Board launch apprenticeship programme

NetSol in collaboration with Pakistan Software Export Board (PSEB) has kicked off an apprenticeship programme to train 200 fresh computer science graduates in the latest tools and technologies.

NetSol is undertaking this programme as its corporate social responsibility by developing a comprehensive training curriculum, keeping in view the future requirements of the IT Industry.

An inaugural session of the first batch of young IT graduates was held at NetSol Technologies office here on Friday.

The apprenticeship program will focus on four batches, each containing 50 IT graduates. The apprentices will begin their training on June 02, 2008 for the duration of twelve (12) months at the NetSol Technologies Institute.

Speaking on the occasion, CEO NetSol Salim Ghauri expressed hope that the apprentices, up on completion of their training will play a vital role in the coming years for the IT Industry in Pakistan.

“Pakistan’s IT industry is facing an acute shortage of human resources and such apprenticeship programmes by PSEB will pave the way to overcome the situation,” he pointed out, and urged the participants to make the most of the opportunity and become a useful human resource for the emerging IT industry of Pakistan.
