Landmark new deal for the Pakistan Football Federation
Sports Tuesday, June 8th, 2010The governing body of football in Pakistan, the Pakistan Football Federation (PFF), has penned a new deal with Vision Technologies Corporation Limited (VTCL) as its official kit and soccer ball supplier.
Details of the new arrangement see VTCL contracted to become the Pakistan national team’s first ever kit supplier. The deal’s duration will last at least three years with the option for extension and is estimated to be worth US$500,000 annually.
“Football is the most popular sport in Pakistan as far as domestic arena is concerned and there is a huge potential to grow and we are thankful to the sponsors for their patronage,” said PFF president, Faisal Saleh Hayat. “We are hopeful that our association with VTCL will support our mission to take Pakistani football to global standards. There is also a need for more corporate houses like VTCL to come forward and promote the game.”
VTCL chief executive officer, Ahsan Naeem said, “Our commitment to football in Pakistan runs well beyond being the PFF’s official kit supplier, and we are looking forward to developing world number sport at grassroots level in Pakistan, working in collaboration with the PFF and using the experience of ex-footballers.”
