Kashmiris observe Indian republic day as black day as Indian state sponsored terrorism goes on daily
Local Saturday, January 26th, 2008The Kashmiris living across the Line of Control and all over the world
would observe the Indian Republic Day as a black day on January 26
(Saturday).Various human rights, social, political, religious and other
organisations would organise protest rallies, public demonstrations and
seminars in all eight districts of the AJK to express solidarity with
the people of occupied Kashmir.
Responding to the call of the All Parties Hurriyat Conference (APHC),
J&K High Court Bar Association and other senior Hurriyat leaders,
including Syed Ali Shah Gilani and Muhammad Yaseen Malik and the
Kashmiris living on both sides of the LoC would observe the Indian
Republic day as black day to express solidarity with their Kashmiri
brethren. A big public gathering would also be organised in
Muzaffarabad in the premises of old secretariat, where AJK Minister for
Forest Syed Murtaza Gilani would be the chief guest.
The leaders
of political and religious parties would participate in the public
demonstration and throw light on the latest situation of the Kashmir
issue besides continuing atrocities being committed by the Indian armed
forces on innocent Kashmiri people.
Later, the protest rally
would march towards the UN office at Chatter Domail and hand over the
memorandum and a copy of resolution to the UN observers. A big seminar
would also be held at the Kashmir House Islamabad. AJK Prime Minister
Sardar Attique Ahmed Khan would be the chief guest on the occasion.
