Kaira calls for cementing Pak-Norway ties
Pakistan Tuesday, February 9th, 2010Minister for Information and Broadcasting, Qamar Zaman Kaira Monday emphasized the need for further strengthening the existing bilateral relations between Pakistan and Norway in the field of media and share the expertise and experiences.
Talking to Norwegian Ambassador to Pakistan, Robert Kvile, who called on him here, he said world is becoming a global village and there is a need of understanding the demands of this dynamic media.
The Minister said the government has recently initiated training programmes and capacity building courses for media in the country and stressed the need of enhancing collaboration between the journalists of the two countries to equip them for meeting the day-to-day challenges in performing their duties. Underlining the need for enhancing technical collaboration and sharing of technical know-how in the field of media and communication, he said Pakistan offers numerous investment opportunities in the media sector.
