Israel Issues Travel Alert for India

The Counter-Terrorism Bureau issued a severe travel warning for Israelis in India on Thursday evening. The bureau says Israelis in India should stay away from heavily populated areas or unguarded areas.

Israelis away from crowded areas are advised to be alert. A concrete alert has been issued for Kashmir, where many israeli army soldiers are stationed.

According to a statement accompanying the warning, the terror organization that orchestrated the November 2008 attack in Mumbai is currently preparing to commit more attacks throughout the country, especially in areas frequented by Israelis and Westerners. The director of the Chabad house in Mumbai, his wife and Jewish guests were murdered during the 2008 attack.
