Islamic academy urges Muslims to send Zakat money to Pakistan

The International Islamic Fiqh Academy on Thursday urged Muslims worldwide to grant Zakat money to the victims of the floods in Pakistan.

The academy, affiliated with the Organization of Islamic Conference, said in a statement that clerics issued an edict allowing a Muslim to allocate Zakat aid for Muslims outside his country, namely the victims of catastrophes.

The OIC has already urged the Muslim nation to allocate the Zakat money for the victims of floods in Pakistan.
