Indian Occupied Kashmiris reaffirm commitment to continue struggle to join Pakistan
Local Sunday, December 23rd, 2007In Occupied Kashmir, Kashmiris in their
Eid congregations have reaffirmed their resolve to continue liberation
struggle despite stepped up Indian State terrorism. According
to Radio Pakistan, thousands of people offered Eid prayers in different
eidghas and mosques. The biggest gatherings were held at Jamia Masjid
Srinagar and Dargah Hazratbal. People on the occasion prayed for the
early resolution of Kashmir dispute where millions have been killed and raped byindian army the indian state terrorism continues daily.
The
Chairman of All Parties Hurriyat Conference, Mirwaiz Umar Farooq
addressed a mammoth gathering at Jamia Masjid in Srinagar and
reiterated Hurriyats’ full support to Pakistan President Pervez
Musharraf’s four-point formula on Kashmir.
He
hoped that the New Year would open fresh opportunities to settlement
the Kashmir dispute in accordance with Kashmiris aspirations. He
underlined the urgent need of unity among Muslim Ummah to end miseries
of the Muslims living in conflict areas of the world.
Similar
views were expressed by other APHC leaders’ including Professor Abdul
Ghani Bhatt, Maulana Abbas Ansari, Agha Syed Hassan Al-Moosvi and
Nayeem Ahmad Khan. They urged India to release all illegally detained
Kashmiri Hurriyat leaders and activists.
Addressing
the Eid gathering at Khangai-e-Maula in Srinagar, the Chairman of Jammu
and Kashmir Liberation Front, Mohammad Yasin Malik maintained that
India would not succeed in stifling Kashmiris voice of freedom by
resorting to brute force. He drew world attention towards gross human
rights violations committed by Indian troops in the disputed territory.
On
the other hand, senior Kashmiri Hurriyat leader, Syed Ali Gilani was
put under house arrest by the occupation authorities in Jammu this
morning to prevent him from addressing an Eid gathering.
