Pakistani Ambassador to United States Hussain Haqqani has said that the external military involvement in Pakistan was creating problems and warned that the US military actions against Taliban inside Pakistan would destabilize the country.
“Pakistan has the capacity to hit terror targets on its own and Pakistani nation was fighting the war on terror”, he said during his address at University of Arkansas here on Thursday.
The US actions inside Pakistan, he said, would increase extremism in the country and drones attacks were counter productive and its results would be negatively.
According to Haqqani, Pakistan could get rid of all problems and Pakistani nation was making efforts against Taliban.
“Pakistan being an Islamic unclear power could not be ignored”, he pointed out, adding, external involvement in Pakistan is giving birth to problems, while the armed forces and secret institutions have the capability to arrest and get rid of extremists.
Armed forces have also hit those targets of terror, which were the parts of international terrorism, he added.
Regarding about Malakand operation, the ambassador said the successful Malakand operation, repatriation of displaced people and rule of law have proved that Pakistan had the capability to get rid of terrorism.

Hussain Haqqani is quite experienced figure and has always sincerely represented Pakistan’s stance. The statement by Hussain Haqqani that External military interference is creating severe problems for us. He is very right that Pakistan military is capable to counter terrorist elements and US should stop drone attacks, is reflex of our nation’s thought. Hussain Haqqani had briefed in his statement that Pakistan is on its best against talibanization. I appreciate his comment that these drone attacks will result negative and they should be stopped. Being an Ambassador of Pakistan in USA, Haqqani with his great ideologies giving his best efforts to clear the vision of Pakistan as a Peacefull state in the Eye of the World. Pakistan’s Government and Military are fighting to get rid of terrorims/talibanization. During the military rule no serious operation was conducted against the taliban and there was sheer lack of support from the general public. Benaiz r Bhutto returned to pakistan in wake of terrorism and even gave her life fighting it. she took the whole nation on board agaisnt extremism and terrorism. This is not a problem of today, we have to look back into the zia times. He fuelled these extremists and it is just that the monster has matured to haunt us today. President zardaris government is doing a commendable job eliminating these terrorists from the grass root level. President Zardaris conviction against terrorism is stronger than any dictator or other democratic parties. He has prooven to be na iron wall against the menace of terrorism.
