Pakistan will host a convention in December aimed at connecting Europe with South Asia by land route involving dozens of countries,
a source said yesterday. Some 50 European and South Asian states are most likely to participate in the Euro-Asian Land Bridge Conference tentatively scheduled in Islamabad during the second week of December.
Ministries of Foreign Affairs and Communications are jointly organising the conference that could be a precursor to the East-West trade corridor pavement. Trade and transport experts of all the 50 countries would deliberate on the land route project that would connect South Asia with Europe.
