Durrani wants aid distribution through Pakistan Army

Former Information Minister Senator Mohammed Ali Durrani Sunday demanded of the government to streamline the assistance operations for flood affectees through Pakistan Army which possessed capability, training and will to conduct such large-scale operations.

Addressing the volunteers of Mutahidda Mohaz Bahawalpur, the body he heads for restoration of Bahawalpur Province, Senator Durrani, who just returned from the flood-hit areas visit, said unfortunately the federal and provincial administrations had miserably failed in rescue and relief operations for the flood victims across country.

“Wherever I visited the flood-hit areas during the past one week, the flood affected people raised questions about the capability, commitment and transparency of the federal and provincial administrations vis-à-vis assistance distribution and rescue and relief efforts.
