Drone Attacks versus Attacks on Ahmadi’s

“In the Name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful”

Asalamo Alykum,

Most of us have spent the same amount of typing time upon the gruesome attack on the Ahmadi worship places last week as we do upon drone attacks per attack.

However, some of our friends have found the reaction insufficient and are not happy about it. I do not know what to do about it. It has been one week, and newspapers still have the crying humanity and bloodied bodies on the front page. The articles are still coming in. The protest is going on.

This is more coverage than ever given to any single drone attack which has taken on the ratio of about two drone attacks per week. Someone can add up the total for two years. Perhaps my eyes have hoodwinked me but I have yet not seen a picture of a single bloodied body coming out of the drone attacks. Perhaps a rare picture of a fallen home once in a while. If any articles or protests did take place, they have wearied out. Had their plight been given even as much importance and coverage as that given to attack of Ahmadi worship-places (which has been called miserably insufficient by fellow columnists), the newspapers would have had to dedicate a permanent space to them for their plight strikes again and again.

Are the tribal folks an inferior species compared to the rest of the Pakistanis?

  1. You crack me up by saying “It has been one week, and newspapers still have the crying humanity and bloodied bodies on the front page. The articles are still coming in. The protest is going on.”

Poor little mujahida, which newspapers have you been reading and what protests have you been watching?
