Destabilizing Balochistan

India has not acknowledged Pakistan from core of its heart since its emergence. The then Indian leadership predicted that Pakistan will not sustain and the time will come when Pakistan will request them for reunification. They practically started working on the project and invaded Pakistan in September Sixty Five but failed to have a “tea break” in Gymkhana club Lahore as our valiant armed forces handled them with valor and courage and they were left with no option except to run away. After their adventure to overcome Pakistan through aggression proved to be a complete failure they started different conspiracies theories to destabilize the newly born state.

Their conspiracies were garlanded with success when East Pakistan was separated from West Pakistan and Bangladesh came into existence. The then Indian Prime Minister and daughter of Jawaher lal Nehru Indra Gandhi in her historic statement which depicts Indians hegemonic designs regarding its neighboring countries very proudly said today we have thrown two nations theory into Indian ocean. Rahul Gandhi-son of Congress president Sonia Gandhi addressing a meeting at Breli said my grandmother, Indra Gandhi, got Pakistan dismembered in 1971 resulting in the establishment of Bangladesh. His statement seconds Pakistan’s stance that the dismemberment of Pakistan would never had taken place if India had not sent its forces to East Pakistan by the name of ‘Mukti Bahni’.

It depicts Indian hegemonic designs to destabilize Pakistan by destabilizing its provinces. India never miss any opportunity to harm Pakistan. Seeing Pakistan’s frail relation with Hamid Karazai government India step forward to open numerous consulates who are busy fulfilling Indian hegemonic agenda against Pakistan .They are enjoying full support of Afghan government and its intelligence agencies . They are using their assets inside Pakistan in order to do subversive activities because they knew that Pakistan is an atomic power and they can’t just go for the conventional war. The role of Indian consulates in Afghanistan territory is obvious from Christine Fair of RAND Corporation’s report in which she narrates “I think it would be mistake to completely disregard Pakistan’s regional perceptions due to doubts about Indian competence in executing covert operations. That misses the point entirely. And I think it is unfair to dismiss the notion that Pakistan’s apprehensions about Afghanistan stem in part from its security competition with India. Having visited the Indian mission in Zahedan, Iran, I can assure they are not issuing visas as the main activity. Moreover India has run operations from its mission in Mazar (through which it supported the northern alliance ) is likely doing so from the other consulates it has reopened in Jalalabad and Qandhar along the border.

Indian officials have told me privately that they are pumping money into Balochistan. Kabul has encouraged India to engage in proactive activities such as using the Border Roads Organization to build sensitive parts of the Ring Road and use the Indo-Tibetan police force for security. It is also building schools on a sensitive part of the border in Kunar –across from Bajaur. Kabul’s motivations for encouraging these activities are as obvious as India’s interest in engaging in them. Even if by some act of miraculous diplomacy the territorial issues were to be resolved, Pakistan would remain in an insecure state. given the realities of the subcontinent (e.g., India’s rise and its more effective foreign relations with all of Pakistan’s near far neighbors), these fears are bound to grow, not lessen .This suggests that without some means of compelling Pakistan to abandon its reliance upon militancy, it will become ever more interested in using it –and the militants will likely continue to proliferate beyond Pakistan’s control.”

Destabilizing Pakistan is an Indian dream which will never come true instead India herself is speedily moving towards destabilization. A number of separate movements in India are getting paced to blow up. Besides Kashmir struggle and Khalistan movement , there is visible unrest in Tamil Nado, and Assam who are demanding separation. People of Mizoram region are also not feeling comfortable with India. So India instead concentrating in her internal affairs is more concerned in subversive activities inside Pakistan.

India is hectically busy in utilizing anti Pakistan elements residing in Afghanistan and within Pakistan as well to create unrest in this piece of land. Instead feeding her masses living below the poverty line India is funding the elements to do terrorist activities in entire Pakistan specifically in Balochistan. It’s no more a secret now that Indian intelligence agency RAW is running safe houses in Afghanistan, where terrorists are trained and launched for missions in Pakistan. Huge funds being allocated have been distributed among the people deputed to launch terrorist attacks inside Pakistan. India-funded Kandahar training camp, where Baloch insurgents, are being trained and provided arms and ammunition for sabotage activities in Balochistan is also an open secret now.

Indian linkages with the insurgents to ensure insurgency in Balochistan were highlighted during Indo Pakistan Prime Minister’s meeting at Sharm el-Sheikh and Indian Prime Minister agreed to look into the matter. Indian Prime Minister later on had to face severe criticism by Indian opposition parties on admitting Indian involvement in Balochistan insurgency. It is said that Manmohan Singh agreed to take action if allegations proved. He is said to have assured Mr Gilani that India is against interference in other countries and Pakistan’s stability was important for them. A joint communiqué, released after the Gilani-Singh meeting in Sharm el-Sheikh, reflected information-sharing because it included reference to Balochistan and the information available to Pakistan; reiteration of Indian commitment to a stable and democratic Pakistan; and an agreement on sharing real time credible and actionable information on any future terrorist threats.

India and Afghanistan are not handling the destabilization of Balochistan project solely they are enjoying full support of USA as well. USA is really perturbed because of China’s presence in Balochistan in order to develop Gawadar port. Iran is also playing its role according to its capability and capacity. So things are not as simple as some people portray it. Balochistan has become a hub of international conspiracies. Nation has to show its resolve to dispel these intrigues by unity, faith and discipline.
