Change ways

I would like to draw the attention of all the readers to a very crucial thought that we mostly overlook and never bother to concentrate on the need to change, not as professionals but as human beings. I used the word professional because most of us are totally lost in the haze of professionalism and rarely spend time on changing the way we live.

The recent incidents of terrorism in our country have totally scared the masses and they even fear the sound of a missing engine. But alongside this we are decadent towards others living in the same community; the recent incident that left 80 people dead in Lahore holds evidence of the plight of minorities and the decadence that the majority is showing. The extremist lot is pretty cheerful, because infidels have been killed, but don’t you think we all are extremists in some capacity, because publicly there are a very few condemnations of this incident. Is it because the minority group were not considered Muslims, or considered as the enemy of Muslims? We need to change our ways towards minority groups in our country, because they have all the right to live here, according to the constitution and the prevailing religion; they are humans first and humanity demands equal rights for every single human in this world. We need to think again and change our ways, before we get caught up in a vicious circle that might consume us all.
