Capital Development Authority approves 40 acres for cricket ground

The Capital Development Authority (CDA) has allocated 40 acres land for the construction of international level cricket ground in the federal capital. In this regard, the authority is likely to forward a letter to Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) within next few days.

According to sources in CDA, the project will be a joint venture of the CDA and PCB. The cricket ground will be constructed near new Parade Ground and PCB would bear its construction cost. Under the agreement signed between the two sides, a 300-seat enclosure and 50 seats in the VVIP enclosure would be reserved for the CDA, they said, adding that one-fourth income of the commercial area would be given to CDA.
