Building design approval made compulsory

Citizen are advised to stop domestic and commercial constructions that are being carried out without building maps and those buildings, which were constructed without maps, would be demolished.

According to details, Tehsil Municipal Officer (TMO) Syed Nasir Ali Shah while talking in a town meeting said that notices have been issued to owners of fifty illegally constructed buildings and advised them to stop their construction or take approval of building maps. TMO warned if building maps were not approved then these buildings would be demolished in coming weeks.

He further said that system of map approval is more transparent and foolproof and maps are being approved with in one month.

Syed Nasir Ali shah further told that during last three months 169 maps were approved which included 155 residential and 14 commercial purposes. Four maps have been rejected.
