Ambassador Hussain Haqqani annoys journalists
Local Wednesday, July 30th, 2008Journalists of local and foreign media protested over what they described as contemptuous attitude Ambassador Hussain Haqqani during the press briefing here on Tuesday.
The journalists were also stopped from attending the dinner hosted by Haqqani for Prime Minister Yousaf Raza Gillani. During his media briefing, Haqqani once again adopted the path of confrontation and used harsh words against the journalists.
When questioned by a journalist on the US strikes into Pakistani territory and killings of tribesmen, he replied irritatingly “why should I ask US about them, were those your (personal) men. Saddam Hussain also used to talk in this tone, and look what happened to him.”
