8 killed in Pakistan suicide attack

A goat market was attacked in the northwestern part of Pakistan killing eight people.

Its been reported that the Sunday morning attack was aimed at a local mayor in the south of Peshawar. The police said that the mayor, Abdul Malik, was wounded.

In the past few weeks the militants have stepped up their attacks aimed at the people, government workers, police or military forces. It is widely believed that the militants are going at full force war in a reaction to the much needed military operation that is currently going on in the South Waziristan.
